a little strength for today

You don’t have to feel strong to keep going.

Some days, strength doesn’t look like having everything together. Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed, taking the next step, or simply making it through a day that feels heavier than you expected. If you’re tired today, that doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’ve been carrying a lot.

God never asked you to manufacture enough strength to handle everything on your own. He meets you in the places where you feel worn down, stretched thin, and unsure how much more you have to give. You can lean into His strength when yours feels like it’s running out.

So you don’t have to figure out how to make it through the whole week, the whole season, or everything ahead of you. Ask God for what you need for today. Sometimes strength is simply trusting Him enough to take the next step.

That keeps the same emotional rhythm as Need Peace and Need Hope, but this one speaks specifically to the person who's just tired—which is exactly what that third choice on Be Encouraged promises.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, be my strength when I don’t have enough of my own.

God, You know where I’m tired today—the places where I feel stretched thin, overwhelmed, or unsure how I’m going to keep going.

Remind me that I don’t have to do any of this in my own strength. Meet me in my weakness and help me lean on You instead of believing I have to hold everything together myself.

Give me what I need for today. Strength for the next step, grace for the things I can’t control, and peace in knowing that when I feel weak, You are still strong. Amen.

CARRY THIS WITH YOU

You don’t have to have enough strength for everything ahead. God will meet you in the next step.

Come back to this truth whenever you feel like you don’t have much left to give.
